Terrific recipe excellent pastry, recommended!!
Ingredients:
- 1 package of Phyllo dough
- Half pack of margarine
- 250 Gr chopped chicken liver
- Chopped onion
- Half a can of chopped mushrooms (250 Gr.)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon sweet paprika
- ½ teaspoon turmeric
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of bread crumbs
- Olive oil or Canola oil
Preparation:
- Fry the chopped union until golden, add the cut mushrooms and continue to fry for few more minutes. Put the onion and the mushrooms aside.
- Rinse the livers with water, dry with a paper towel. Cut the liver into small dice and fry with a little oil in the pan.
- Add the livers into the onion and mushroom bowl, mix and add the salt, black pepper, sweet paprika, turmeric. Add the bread crumbs, mix together well and put aside.
- Thaw the Phyllo dough roll and then put it on the work surface and cut into equal squares measuring 15 X 15 Cm.
- Oil the leaves well by brushing with softened margarine.
- Put a Phyllo leaf and above it another leaf in order to create layers consisted of 4 Phyllo leaves. In the center put the liver mixture, brush the corners with egg and fold the edges on top of the mixture.
- Put into a backing tray and into a preheated oven and back in temperature of 165 degrees for 25 minutes.
