One evening I attended a workshop that a friend organized , it was a woman night with a Charming woman (rabbi's wife) who teaches brides and woman the laws of family purity , the lecture was interesting. with emphasis on a mitzvah called "Hafrashat challah " (bread secretion) , We learned all the preparatory stages of rolls, sang songs, heard stories of course we prayed. the mitzvah of challah has many properties : Livelihood, mating, pregnancy, Childbirth, health and home cleansing energies. the evening was exciting, the experience was spiritual, fascinating , Jewish and woman empowering .

Ingredients:

  • 2 kg flour
  • dry yeast
  • 8 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 and a half cups lukewarm water
  • 3 / 4 cup oil

Preparation:

  1. In a large bowl stir the flour, sugar , dry yeast. Later add the salt, eggs and warm water. Knead well and let rest for fifteen minutes.
  2. Add oil to the created dough and continue to knead well until dough is smooth. Then let the dough rise for two hours.
  3. After the dough has raised ,make a medium size balls from the dough and arrange them in a baking pan. Brush rolls over with a beaten egg. You can also add sesame seeds. Preheat oven to the temperature of 190 degrees Celsius and bake 20-25 minutes.
